About the program

The Forest Hill Recreation Council Basketball Program offers recreational leagues for youth (Grades K–12) and adults throughout the year. Games are played at the Forest Hill Rec gymnasium, with experienced referees and a structured season format.



Our youth program focuses on skill development, sportsmanship, and teamwork — while our adult league provides a competitive but fun outlet for players 18 and up. No tryouts required; all skill levels are welcome.

frequently asked questions

  • I registered for basketball next week & wanted to know if I will get a refund?

    At this point, we do not foresee our season getting canceled. We are on scheduled to start mid November as we have done in years past. If the season is canceled, we will issue a refund. As of today, we will not issue any refunds until October 1st. 

  • How many teams do your program expect to have in each age group?

    We normally have 8-10 teams in each age group. If we are limited to use at some facilities, we may reduce numbers. If you were 1 out of the 89 people currently registered, your child will be selected on a team first.

  • What is the age cut off for your program?

    September 1.


    Example:

    If John Doe is 12 & he is scheduled to turn 13 on September 2nd, he is still eligible to play in the 11.12 boys division. If he turns 13 on 8/23, he must play in the 13.14 age group.

  • How long is the basketball season?

    We start in mid November 2021 for some age groups & end mid to late Feb. 2022


    Note:

    5.6 Coed Clinic start in December.

9:00am - 9:50am   |   5-8 year olds -all levels

11:00am - 11:50am   |   13-16 year olds- beginners

Make-ups will only be available if the entire class is cancelled due to rain or court repairs.
